How do you decide which titles to renew each term?

We renew our books every 3-4 years, to make sure the information stays current and relevant. During this time a lot changes; current events, news, and statistic, as well as shifts in public opinion, and government policy. Therefore some titles get retired, while other, new topics are created.

Can I view your best-selling books?

Can I order from outside of the UK?

Yes, you can select your country in the payment screen. Please note, though we do our best to make sure all orders are sent with the relevant forms, we have no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance.

Update for 2024: due to changes in legislation, we are currently not shipping to EU or Northern Ireland.

How can we access Issues Online?

We have several methods for logging in to Issues Online to make accessing easy for your users:

Username and password – these will be provided to you when you sign up.

VLE Link – A link which you can share on your VLE, Blackboard, or Teams, which allows users to simply click and gain direct access to Issues Online.

IP address recognition – This allows anyone using your network to be able to access Issues Online directly using your IP range without needing to log in. If you do not know your IP range, please speak to your IT team. Please note, this method will not work for users at home, and so they will need to know the username/password.

Single Sign On access (SSO) - For institution who are subscribed to Shibboleth or OpenAthens, to allow users to sign in automatically. Please note we charge a small fee of £15 + VAT for this service.

We use Shibboleth in our organisation, does Issues Online work with this?

Yes, we offer a Shibboleth option for subscribers so that users can sign on without needing to enter a username/ password. Please note we charge a small fee of £15 + VAT for this service. Let us know if you would like this to use this method.

How can I promote Issues and Issues Online?

We offer a range of posters to promote Issues and Issues Online in your organisation. These can be displayed in libraries and classrooms to raise awareness of our titles among students and teachers. Please get in touch to find out more.

How do I log in to Issues Online?

If you are a subscriber please go to www.issuesonline.co.uk/subscription/login and enter your username and password to log in.

If you would like to subscribe, please fill out this form, and we will send you a tailored quote.

I can’t find my login details for Issues Online

Please email us with the name of your school and account number and we will be able to help you.

Can I change my username / password?

Yes sure! Please email us with your details and we will be happy to change this. Please note it’s important to let your organisation know of the changes you have made. We can send you new posters to put up to let users know of the new username/ password.

How many users can be logged in to Issues Online at any one time for a school/college?

Depending on your subscription, you will have a set number of user licences. Contact us to find out the details of your subscription.

If a user leaves the website unattended for 15 minutes, they will automatically be logged out to allow other users to access the service.

Is Issues Online always available?

Yes! You can access Issues Online 24-7, on computers, mobiles and tablets.

Can students log in at home?

Yes, students can enter their username/password, via a VLE link or using Single Sign On access.

How do I find my usage statistics?

Please get in touch if you would like to receive regularly usage reports.
