Eating Disorders

Approximately 1.25 million people in the UK have an eating disorder. Problems with eating can start at any age, but mostly start in the teenage years. This book explores why eating disorders may develop, the different types of eating problems and disorders, and what can be done to tackle disordered eating.

The information inside comes from a variety of sources, including newspapers, magazines, government reports and charity groups; providing different perspectives on challenging topics. At the end of the book is a selection of activities that will encourage interaction, literacy, critical thinking and independent research. Content is accessible and engaging, tailored primarily towards the 12 to 18 age group.
